A very special thanks to ~LostMyBand, *klazien and *milbisous for allowing me to use their personal art as part of this deviation. :blowkiss:

If you can't be the poet...be the poem

Evanescence - My Immortal
It's beautifully done:omg: And my reduced sized painting looks very much like an old photograph, I like it
Interesting idea and well executed. Perhaps you should let the back ends of the arms blend into the background using transparency rather than have them cut off like now. It would look smoother, especially since the bg and the arms are of rougly the same hue.
And good luck in the contest!

Art is daydreams congealed and shared
Thanks for that suggestion. Truthfully I tried a variety of positions and ways to use the hands that simply was not satisfactory. I didn't want to do anything "cliche", and there is a version of this exact compostion without the last texture but everyone that viewed the image before I uploaded it liked this version. The color of the background was purposely chosen so that the hands would be of similar hue. I really wanted this deviation to be completely different from my first entry, and I did fall back on my commercial design background on purpose, and it may be the fact that it's not a fine art image that you're refering to.
